About Sozo the Magician

Sozo the Magician's Background

Andrew Jensen, a.k.a. Sozo the Magician, is originally from Saratoga Springs, New York. As a child, he fell in love with magic and ventriloquism largely due to the influence of his father. Ever since his early elementary school days, Andrew has tinkered with magic and gradually built up his magical repertoire.

Andrew has spent much of his life working with children & teens. From being a camp counselor at numerous summer camps up and down the east coast to working with children in churches & schools, Andrew has always had a huge heart for kids. He loves spending time entertaining & being entertained by children.

Andrew currently is the CEO & President of Sozo Firm, Inc., a local internet marketing consulting company. He's the father of three boys (all under the age of 5) who follow their dad in his magical steps by putting on magic shows of their own for their mom & dad.

What Does Sozo Mean?

Sozo is Japanese for Creative and Greek for Liberated. It sums up the personality & magical style of Sozo the Magician.

Membership

Sozo holds membership in an international organization of magicians and upholds the Code of Ethics of the Magic profession.

Sozo travels to elementary schools, middle schools and private schools putting on custom tailored magic shows. Sozo the Magician is usually accompanied by one of his vent figures, Chimp the Chimpanzee and Marvin the Crazy Bird.

Sozo is a featured magician at children's birthday parties & other children's events. Sozo also conducts magic shows for local community senior centers, churches and other non profits. Learn about our charitable program.
